Rebecca is a lawyer and legal educator originally from Toronto, Canada. She is a licensed barrister and solicitor and the President of Grammatika International. Founded in 2012, Grammatika is a professional development company that specializes in legal writing and legal skills training for lawyers. Rebecca is the lead developer and teacher of all Grammatika curricula, combining her background in law and education. As a lawyer herself, Rebecca understands exactly what legal professionals require in the continuing professional development and endeavours to create practical, professional courses. As an experienced teacher, Rebecca knows how to develop these skills in her students.

Rebecca began her career in education in 2006. She began teaching English, Spanish, and French to children and adults and then in 2012, she moved into teaching higher legal education and professional development for lawyers.

Rebecca graduated from the Juris Doctor program at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and is licensed as both a barrister and solicitor with the Law Society of Ontario. In 2015, she opened her own legal practice focusing on immigration and refugee law in association with the renowned immigration and refugee litigation boutique, Jackman, Nazami & Associates. She moved into legal education full time in 2017, though Rebecca has been teaching in law schools in Canada and the UK since 2014.

Rebecca was a monthly columnist for Canadian Lawyer Magazine 4Students and The Lawyer's Daily. She is also a Certified Community Mediator.

Rebecca is a native English speaker and fluent in Spanish. She has an advanced working knowledge of French and beginner Italian. To add to her language list, she is currently studying Portuguese.
